Neighborhood

With surprises, texture, and local history around every corner, Yorkville functions as a true New York City neighborhood that has held onto its rich past while moving toward a bright future. With a combination of historic charms, modern conveniences and the forthcoming Second Avenue Subway, the urban fabric surrounding Citizen360 is rich with retail, artisanal purveyors and opportunities to build local relationships. In addition to communal activities available to residents at the wide range of restaurants, fine food markets and nightlife venues, recreational spaces abound with nearby Carl Schurz Park, the East River Promenade, Asphalt Green and the 92nd Street Y.

Drawing on a primarily German and Hungarian past, Yorkville reflects the cultural cues of its original inhabitants. This community, established in the early 20th century and famous for its quaint gathering spots including cafes, social clubs and beer gardens, is still a neighborhood with its own pronounced character and point of view.

Also home to a critical mass of intellectuals and curators of contemporary culture, Yorkville’s proximity to centers of medical innovation, world-class museums and galleries, and cutting edge universities endows it with a unique multi-generational community of the creative and curious.
